The Assessment and Discussion Meeting on “Early Childhood Screenings and Promoting Community Awareness of Heel Blood Sampling to Increase Screening Rates" was held under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Ateş KARA, Deputy Director of TAÇESE (Türkiye Maternal, Child, and Adolescent Health Institute), on August 16, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at TÜSEB (Health Institutes of Türkiye) Ankara Aziz Sancar Research Centre. The meeting discussed potential actions related to the subject.
The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Ayşegül TOKATLI and Prof. Dr. Serap SİVRİ from the Department of Paediatrics at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Fatma Tuba EMİNOĞLU from the Department of Paediatrics at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine, and Prof. Dr. Çiğdem Seher KASAPKARA from Ankara Bilkent City Hospital.
