Sessions of the Türkiye Maternity, Child and Adolescent Health Institute Held as Part of the 11th Turkish Medical World Congress
As part of the 11th Turkish Medical World Congress, four sessions organized by the Türkiye Maternity, Child and Adolescent Health Institute (TAÇESE) on November 24, 2025, addressed a broad range of topics, including the effects of climate change on children’s and women’s health, the protection of vulnerable groups during disasters, current health issues, and the effects of social media on child and adolescent health.
The presentations and panel discussions comprehensively demonstrated the multidimensional effects of the climate crisis on health, priorities in nutrition and development during early childhood, the seasonal burden of infectious diseases, and the emerging challenges posed by social media and digital risks to child and adolescent health. National and international speakers brought together epidemiological data, field experience, policy analyses, and country examples to provide a comprehensive assessment.
By identifying critical areas of risk and potential solutions for the future of maternal, child, and adolescent health in Türkiye, the TAÇESE sessions established a strong foundation for policymaking informed by scientific evidence, field experience, and international practices.
